Technologies for the Differently Abled which is also known as Assistive Technology is a fairly new term, but the basic idea is not. Some adaptive devices are as simple as the cane others seem a bit more complicated. A point noteworthy is that all these technological improvements are a testament to human determination; creativity and ambition; that help challenged persons lead full and fulfilling lives.

This special Digital Nation event focuses on the important community issues, innovative solutions to societal challenges being faced and making an impact through technology. By empowering people with disabilities (PWDs) to be successful, one automatically brings that perspective to work and uses it to create great outcomes.

With the aging baby boomer generation, there is a huge market gap for companies to tap into – in fact as per WHO statistics there are more than 1.2 billion people worldwide with some type of disability, Oman alone has around 90,000 people.

This platform will give room to create an environment where people can be honest and self-identify their disability or of those that they are aware of and discover what can be done and what they need to do to be successful.

Objective of the Seminar:
