The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) is marking its participation at the 5th International Plastics, Rubber, Petrochemicals, Printing and Packaging Industry Exhibition 2018 (Oman Plast), which kicked off yesterday (Monday) at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the auspices of His Excellency Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Oil and Gas.

Oman Plast 2018, in its 5th edition is showcasing the latest technology and machineries used in manufacturing of plastics, rubber, petrochemicals, printing and packaging. The exhibition is offering an ideal platform for Oman and its neighbouring countries to source new technology and products through this knowledge forum. Through this exhibition, PEIE aims at briefing the visitors on the vision of PEIE, which is to enhance the Sultanate’s position as a leading regional centre of manufacturing, ICT, innovation and entrepreneurship excellence, and its mission in attracting industrial investments and providing continued support, through regionally and globally competitive strategies, good infrastructure, value adding services, and easy governmental processes.

PEIE also aspires to disseminate awareness on Origin Oman Campaign that aims at promoting and marketing Omani products and thus finding new markets for these products at local, regional and international levels. The campaign is recognised as a national initiative designed to encourage consumers and organisations to buy Oman made goods and services, promote national pride in the manufacturing industry and highlight the economic importance of buying and choosing locally manufactured products and services.
